We have established an Art at Home link on our Web site www.marcolutheran.org/art%20at20%home%20.htm. This web link will showcase all of the congregational donated art. Our introduction page will guide you through the simple steps to be part of this on-going inspirational program. 

This month featured artist is Jack Dukelow, you will remember that his first productions of his wonderful eternal Biblical images were sold out and the proceeds given to the reconstruction effort for Haiti.  

The Art at Home program will enable our congregation to review Jack’s Creations and also other creations by you our faithful members, think about that for one moment, you will be able to use your God given talent by donating items to our program which will be viewed by all of your Marco Lutheran friends. You may use this resource for holiday and birthday gifts while silently serving our lord. 

All of our Art will have a suggested donation and the proceeds will be used in support of Pastor Kevin’s view from the bridge , specifically Amigos en Cristo, Immokalee youth programs, and Christian Outreach on Marco and Beyond.  Donations in excess of the suggested amount will be tax deductable and appear on your annual Marco Lutheran statement. Our plan is to update our Art at Home inventory every month, consequently your support is vital.

CHURCH SPONSORED CRUISE


 

Join us on the "Oasis of the Sea" for fellowship and fun. Come visit on the "Board Walk", come see "Central Park", come visit the Sea Spa Fitness Neighborhood or come ride the Zipline. You will zoom over the Board Walk, a mere nine decks below. Visit the web site at www.royalcaribbean.com  We will have both a Sunday worship service and a Bible study opportunity. CHURCHES OF SOUTH WEST FLORIDA CIRCUIT

 We request your prayers and presence with us for a service of Holy Communion and the Order of installation. The Rev. Jerrald Lawson will be installed to the office of Pastor at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd of N. Ft. Myers on Sunday July 25th at 3:00 pm. There will be a brief reception immediately following the service. Please RSVP by July 16th.

PROJECT 168 DVD

The project 168 DVD in our library was produced by Jackie Fulton's son, and we thank her for giving it to us.

 

 

COMMUNION MINISTRY

A new ministry has begun to deliver Communion to shut-ins following each Sunday service. You will see maroon communion sets on the back altar shelf each Sunday. They are taken to shut-ins by a trained Communion Minister.

 


 

HURRICANE SEASON IS HERE

 
We are always concerned that everyone has a plan of action in case of a severe storm. We are particularly concerned if you live alone. All singles and anyone who wishes are encouraged to fill out and return a "Disaster Preparedness Survey" so that we can be aware of your specific plans including the telephone number of someone who would know where you are. Forms are available on the Welcome Center. Please see Gail if you would like help in making your plans. We are a family who cares for each other.

 

 

BULLETIN HELPERS NEEDED

 

If you aren't a seasonal member, consider volunteering some of your time to assemble the bulletins. Sign up sheets are on the hall bulletin board. It's a great way to fellowship. Please sign up today! Thank you!

 

 

BOARD OF OUTREACH

CALLING ALL SANTA'S HELPERS

Thank you to everyone who has been donating to our "Santa Helpers" Christmas stocking program. With your continued help of monetary donations from now until Christmas we can accomplish this wonderful project. We would encourage everyone to contact us upon your return or before if you would like to help with shopping and filling the stockings. We have many stockings to fill and we need your help to do it. ADDRESS DIRECTORY

If there was any incorrect information in the new address directory please let Dani know. She will be doing a corrections page in the September newsletter. It will be done as a cut and paste so that everyone will have correct information and can add it to their already received directory. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as it will assist in having the correct information printed in the future. Thank you!

To sign up for the Altar Flowers.
Do you have a special occasion coming up or would you like to honor someone or dedicate something in their memory. Altar flowers are a nice way to do that. We need you to sign up on the sheet in the hall bulletin board! Thank you!

 

 

REFRESHMENTS

 

We need you to "whip up" something good. Please sign up on the refreshment sheet on the Women of Marco Board to assist in having goodies on Sunday mornings. No bakers-no "goodies". Thank you!

 

 

NEW DIRECTORY/PICTORIALS

The new directories/pictorials are here and ready for you to pick up. They are available to you at the welcome center. We are asking that those who do not have a binder already pick up one per family. If you already have a binder please do not pick up an extra as we only have a limited supply on hand. Your cooperation is appreciated! "

We are asking that you should feel inclined to assist in paying for your copy/copies of the pictorial please place $2.50 in an envelope a mark it pictorial and place in the offering plate. hope this newly printed pictorial will continue to help us know each other by name and maintain our welcoming spirit.
