As a parish nurse, my mission is to support and promote Christ-centered health and wellness of body, mind, and spirit through congregational health ministries. My role is that of an integrator of faith and health, a health educator, a personal health counselor, a referral agent, a trainer of volunteers and a developer of support groups.
I report directly to the Senior Pastor and work with the Health and Wellness Advisory Committee and the Board of Human Care to promote the health ministry of Marco Lutheran.
My education includes a Nursing Diploma from Pilgrim Psychiatric Center, New York, a Bachelor’s degree from Long Island University and a Master’s and Doctorate from Columbia University, New York. I'm originally from Jackson, Michigan. My family, including parents, grandparents, sisters (3) and brother were all very talented musicians. Everyone played the piano, but I was the only one who followed a musical career, starting lessons at age 5. By 14, I was playing on a 3 manual pipe organ. At the same time I was also playing trumpet and violin. At age 19 I started my entertainment career and have worked steadily as a musician since that time, which includes 45 years in various night clubs or country clubs across the United States, of which years 25 included acting as Music director, choir master and organist of various churches.
There is no other way to describe my talent than as "A GIFT!" I praise the almighty Father for giving me such a wonderful blessing which I am able to share with others.

James Zickfield
Most of my family is based out of St. Louis, Missouri where I grew up. After graduating high school, I pursued Religious Studies and received my BA from the University of Missouri – Columbia. Pursuing my graduate education at Concordia St. Paul University, I became a Director of Christian Outreach for the LCMS. I enjoyed my first call as a DCO in the Kansas City area at the Lutheran Urban Mission Agency, and then moved to Wichita to pursue outreach and education ministry at Risen Savior Lutheran Church. I now serve as an Associate Director of Christian Outreach through Education at Marco Lutheran Church.
Through faith in our Lord and Savior, we at Marco Lutheran Church look for opportunities to share Christ’s love to our neighbors, and we pray for God’s blessings and peace as we serve God in our daily lives - May the Lord bless you, to bless others, as we share God’s Word in our Missions and Outreach as Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
Associate Director of Christian Outreach through Youth
Faith Rattei
Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma as the youngest of four girls, I grew up moving every 18 months throughout the Midwest. I graduated from St Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia, MO and from Concordia University in St Paul, MN in 2002 with a BA in Outreach and minor in Lutheran Confessional Heritage. My husband Andrew and I married in 2002 and we began serving at New Life Church – Lutheran in Hugo, MN that same year.
After serving Hugo for 8 years, we accepted the call to Marco Lutheran Church and arrived in October 2010.
My role as a Director of Christian Outreach is to equip God’s people to share their faith more effectively, corporately and individually. Here at Marco Lutheran, I have a special emphasis on youth, children, women’s ministry and marketing. I am honored to be called to be a member of this team and faith community as we seek to share the Gospel with Marco Island and beyond!
Andrew and I enjoy living on an island, going to the beach, scrapbooking, science fiction and teaching tricks to our sock-eating “Reagle” (Golden Retriever/Beagle mix) named Lucy.
