Faith & the Farmers Market

Marco Lutheran will host a booth at the Marco Island Farmers Market to be present in the community, meet people and share Jesus with others!  To be able to host the booth, two volunteers are needed for each of the two shifts that break up the morning.  For more information, contact James Zickfield or check out the Outreach Bulletin board across from the kitchen.

You simply need to have a warm smile and be willing to talk to strangers!  Anything else you will need will be provided!  TOGETHER, we can be positive ambassadors for Christ to the island community!

Stephens Ministry – Stephens Ministry is designed to connect hurting people with individuals who have an extra level of training to walk alongside them through a difficult time.

It’s core purpose is summed up in the following statement: "To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12-13).

GriefShare – GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.

Prayer Shawl Ministry – Every Wednesday at 1:00 pm, crocheters gather together at Marco Lutheran Church to produce shawls for those who may be ill or hurting. As they crochet the garment, they pray for the individual who will be receiving it. The shawl, as it is wrapped around the hurting person, can be a reminder of God’s arms that are always wrapped around them in love.

Worship Volunteers – At Marco Lutheran Church, volunteers make the worship service possible. From greeters to ushers, readers to worship leaders, church members lead each other in worship. If you would like to know more information about worship volunteers, contact Pastor Kevin

Jesus “…did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45) As followers of Jesus, we have the privilege of serving others as well.

Serving can take on many forms: from simply taking a moment to listen to another person’s struggles to traveling overseas on mission trip. No matter how large or small the effort, serving in Christ’s name is an honor we take very seriously.
