Grantee Stories Marco Lutheran Church Foundation has been blessed with the ability to award over $1 million in grants to projects that share the Christian message and touch the lives of people - in our local area; across our nation; and around the world. Some of their stories are below.
Providing a Chapel for Worship
The Foundation helped fund the construction of a chapel at a shelter for victims of human trafficking in Naples, FL. This residential home provides a faith-based, nurturing environment with unconditional love. They now have a separate space for worshipping, meditating and praying to their Lord and Savior.
Supporting our Hispanic and Haitian neighbors
Through our funding and that of other organizations, this start-up church in Golden Gate City, FL is providing the good news of God's love in Spanish and in Haitian to the residents of this multi-ethnic community. Their doors opened in August 2016 and they have now served over 750 adults.
Providing Seed Packets and Bibles to Haiti
Seeds are very expensive and difficult to obtain in Haiti. Seed packets provide an incredible economic advantage for the communities. In addition, every seed packet has a Gospel message of hope and salvation from the Bible, and through this ministry bless many people.
Caring for Orphaned Children in Honduras
This orphanage in Honduras serves as home to abandoned and orphaned children, providing caring homes, an excellent bilingual education and vocational training. Attentive mentor parents and caregivers provide a loving family life while teaching them to trust Jesus Christ.
